Welcome!

I am a Social Scientist interested in the causes and consequences of social inequality and social deprivation. I wrote my dissertation in Sociology in 2023 about the interplay between loneliness and political attitudes and participation and hold currently a position (postdoc) at the Goethe University Frankfurt. To be precise, I work and teach under the professorship of Prof. Schmidt-Catran focused on Methods of Quantitative Empirical Social Research.

I value research that contributes to social theory as well as social practice. Alongside my position at the Goethe University I worked during my PhD I worked at the institute for Social Work and Social Education in Frankfurt. My work there focused on bridging the gap between academic research and public policy. For instance, my work there contributed to the German strategy against loneliness. Given my current full-time employment at the Goethe University, I continue my engagement in linking research to social practice by giving talks and interviews.

Alongside my research I have been teaching Bachelor and Master Seminars since 2018 with special emphasis on quantitative Methodology. For more details, see my teaching portfolio on this side.
